667 Own SIM Registration: Understand the MNP Reply

Updated 6 October 2026 · 2 min read

The 667 own SIM registration procedure checks the connection that sends the message, where supported by your operator. It does not reveal the registration of an arbitrary number.

Read the 667 own SIM registration reply

Follow your operator’s published process. Ufone describes sending MNP to 667 from the SIM being checked. Read that connection’s registration reply privately. Confirm current charges and availability with your own network.

Select the SIM you actually want to check

On a dual-SIM phone, inspect the sending line before sending MNP to 667. The registration reply relates to the sending connection, so using the other SIM can produce a valid reply for the wrong account. Do not use the procedure as a way to investigate a number you do not control.

Ufone’s published port-in instructions describe a reply containing the mobile number, name, CNIC and SIM number. Treat it as sensitive account information. SIM number and mobile number are separate labels; do not assume every identifier in the reply is a phone number.

Checking a reply is different from porting

The registration request appears inside operator porting instructions. If you only need to inspect your own record, stop after reading the reply. Do not forward it to a port-in destination or authorise a transfer unless you intend to change operator and understand the process.

Never forward the message to a caller who claims to be checking eligibility for a prize or an account upgrade. Use the operator’s official channel when you actually request a port.

A name mismatch or missing reply

Confirm the sending SIM first. If the name still looks wrong, record the discrepancy privately and ask the current operator what registration correction or ownership transfer is appropriate. A relative’s name may reflect an older account arrangement; it is still a matter for the operator to resolve.

If no reply arrives, check ordinary SMS, balance and short-code availability with the network. Do not replace the missing reply with an owner name supplied by a caller-ID app.

Frequently asked questions

Can I type another person’s number into the message?

This process concerns the SIM sending the message. It is not a general number-to-name search.
