PTA SIM Rules: Verify the Rule That Applies to Your Case

Updated 6 October 2026 · 2 min read

PTA SIM rules should be checked against current authority and operator instructions for issuance, replacement, transfer and closure. A general guide does not replace the requirements for your specific account request.

Verify PTA SIM rules before acting on an instruction

An article’s publication year is not an effective date for a telecom rule. Look for the issuing authority, the actual notice, the category it applies to and any commencement date. A draft proposal and an effective requirement should not be described as the same thing.

This page does not invent a 2026 update simply to look current. Confirm the applicable limit, fee or document requirement with the relevant official source before a purchase or account change.

Record a disputed instruction

If an outlet cites a rule you cannot find, note the instruction, outlet and date. Ask for the company’s published policy and a support reference. Explain whether the dispute concerns registration, a replacement, a transfer or an eSIM charge; the governing process may differ.

Keep receipts and correspondence for a complaint. Do not use a disputed instruction as a reason to register under another person’s document or bypass verification.

Where to go next

Use the allowance guide for a rejected new connection, the transfer guide for a subscriber change and the complaint guide for an unresolved operator response.
