A network check through the service published on cnic.sims.pk identifies a mobile number’s current provider. It does not return the owner name, CNIC or address.
What a network check answers
Use the enquiry for the current network serving a mobile number. It does not provide an owner name, CNIC or location. The official service lists the format and current cost on cnic.sims.pk.
Build the message accurately
The official SIM Information System lists the network enquiry format as N, a space and the mobile number, sent to 76367. Use the number format shown by that service and check the digits before sending. Confirm the current charge on the official page or with your operator rather than assuming a forwarded tariff is still current.
Keep the enquiry and reply together if you are diagnosing a ported number. The operator a number began with and the operator serving it now may differ after mobile number portability.
Use the answer for the right decision
A network answer can help you choose the right support company or understand an on-net calling situation. It does not identify the subscriber, confirm their CNIC, show where their phone is or tell you why they called.
If you are investigating harassment, save the number and messages and follow the unknown caller guide. Knowing the network is useful context, not evidence of the person’s identity.
Failed enquiries
Check ordinary SMS first and correct a missing space or mistyped number. If the short code still fails, ask your network whether it supports that enquiry from your current connection. Avoid repeatedly sending paid requests. A failed enquiry does not prove that the number is fake or inactive.
